One Door Cinema Club has been invited to make a return appearance in this year's Purbeck Film Festival

This is not the film you think it is.

Arrival is often classed as a sci-fi film. Taken literally, that is a reasonable categerory were it not for the fact that most sci-fi films seem to be about either bleakly dystopian societies, or about space-ships blowing things up. Arrival is cast in a uniquely different mould and credits viewers with intelligence and sensitivity.

How a One Door Cinema Club event works is free entry, free food and drinks, a pre-film talk, the film, a post-film talk, then geek out over more food at the end of the night. Space is limited to the first 100 after which the doors will close; first-come, first-served.
